Local Issues: ezFramer Support does not include trouble shooting internal network issues, computer crashes, recovery or computer virus's. These are issues that are best dealt with at a local level, and although we are more than happy to help in directing you in the right direction, we are not able to actually resolve or fix local issues. Please contact an IT professional in your area who can assist you in these issues.
Custom Programming: From time to time customers may want a specific feature included only related to their method of operations. For these type of jobs please contact us at 866-438-9393 to receive an estimate or quote.
Data Loss: nuTech cannot be held responsible for any ezFramer data loss, it is the responsibility of the user to perform daily external backups of your ezFramer data. We provide to all users our ezBacker software to run ezFramer Backups.

What is the difference between the Express, Basic and Full versions of ezFramer?
  The best way to answer this is to direct you to our product comparison chart. You can also view a short movie for each feature listed. In a nutshell, Express is our 100% free custom picture framing software. There are no obligations to own and use the software. Basic has more features such as status tracking, payment receiving abilities and adding retail items to invoices. Our full version however has even more features such as network capabilites, reports, and inventory features. Visit our products page for more specifics.
I have a hard time believing ezFramer Express is really free. What's the catch?
  There is no catch! You download the software and once you enter your free registration codes (sent to you via email), the software is liscensed to you and will never expire. The software is free software and has been since we first released it in 2005. No obligations at all!
How can you stay in business if you offer free software?
  ezFramer Express is our free software. ezFramer Basic and ezFramer Full versions are not free (but still very affordable!). We also sell optional support & maintenance plans which include toll free support, program updates and vendor updates.
What ezFramer version is right for me?
  That varies from person to person. If you are looking for just pricing orders and don't care to keep track of customers or payments, then the Express version is perfect. If you want to keep records of customers and payments and even sell non-framing items in your store, then Basic could be your choice. If you need to network, try the Full version or purchase Basic along with the Networking option. Remember you can upgrade to a higher version as your business grows. Even from Express to Basic! If you are still unsure, give a call and we can help. If cost is a serious issue, start with Express along with the support & maintenance plan so we can help you along each step of the way.
What if I have questions before purchasing?
  Send an email to Support @ ezFramer.com or call toll free (800) 404-0634. Definately download our demo or even the ezFramer Express. But remember ezFramer Express does not have all the features that the Basic or Full version has.
What kind of support do you offer after purchasing?
  From the date of purchase you receive a full year of toll free technical support, program updates and vendor updates at no additional cost. Express users do not receive a full year of support for free because the software is free. But Express users can purchase a support & maintenance plan for only $19.95 a month or even cheaper, $199 per year.
How long has ezFramer been around?
  ezFramer was first released on the market in 1998. We are excited to be celebrating our 10th year serving the Custom Framing industry.
Was ezFramer designed by custom framers or just some programmer trying to make it big?
  ezFramer was started by a custom picture framer who also was a computer programmer. He had his own store and developed his own software program. He thought, why not try selling it to other framers and here we are today doing it full time! We now employ additional programmers in our business.
What is the difference between ezFramer and other programs on the market?
  It varies from program to program. If you like the way ezFramer works and functions, then well... ezFramer is probably is right for you. We even offer a free version so it won't cost an arm and a leg to get started. If however ezFramer doesn't offer what you are looking for, then there may be another program which will.
Can I enter more than one work order entry window at a time?
  ezFramer has offered the ability to open multiple work order entry windows simultaneously so you can work on different orders with different customers at the same time. This feature has been in ezFramer for over 6 years and is one of the most cherished features!
Where are you located?
  In beautiful Charlottesville, VA of the U.S.A. right near U.VA.
Do you offer metric?
  At this time we do not. But let us know your contact information and we will let you know if it becomes a feature in ezFramer in the future.
Can I sign up for newsletters or company updates?
  Sure you can! Just download a demo of our software and provide your contact information. This will put you in our database and from time to time we'll send you announcements or promotions.
How are you related to MakeMoreArt.com?
  ezFramer is owned by nuTech. nuTech recently started MakeMoreArt.com to offer artists, photographers, and other industry niches the opportunity to adverstise and promote their business websites. Check it out!
Do you offer payment plans?
  Yes we do. ezFramer Basic ($650) is offered at $60/month for 12 months. ezFramer Full version ($999) is offered at $90/month for 12 months. And our support and maintenance plan which is $300/year is offered at $25.00 a month.
My demo expired, what do I do?
  If you need more time to evaluate our software, let us know via email to our support department and we can send you an extended 15 day code.

Does nuTech only sell ezFramer?
  nuTech has just released a new product for the custom picture framing industry called Avonto Direct Connect which allows retailers to create and send orders to their wholesale vendors. It does not price out custom work orders as ezFramer does. Avonto Direct Connect will eventually tie into our ezFramer software. Check out Avonto Direct Connect at www.Avonto.com.
Do you go to trade shows?
  Sometimes. We have not found a huge need to do so as the growth of the internet has allowed us to greatly expand our marketing reach. Most of our sales and contacts are generated over the web and referrals. We will post on our website when we go to a show however.
   
  Technical Questions
Does ezFramer run on a Mac?
  At this time ezFramer must be run on a Windows operating system or a Mac with an Intel chip.
Where is the help manual?
  You can download the help manual online. It is broken out in chapters so you can just print out what you want. You can also request a hard copy for $25.00 online. You will however receive a free hard copy when you purchase the ezFramer Basic or ezFramer version software.
Do you integrate with QuickBooks?
  ezFramer does integrate with QuickBooks from version 2004 - 2007. You must purchase the QuickBooks add on to take advantage of this feature.
What kind of computer can ezFramer be installed on?
  Any standard computer which is sold in retail stores is more than adequate. The computer must have the windows operating system.
I do not have internet access at my store. How do I get updates?
  You can download the updates at another location such as your home and then transfer the updates to your computer where there is no location. We recommend however if you have access at your store to use it simply because it is easier to install the updates that way. But don't worry if you don't, we aren't sticklers about it!
How much do updates cost?
  This depends on your version of ezFramer. Program and vendor updates are automatically included in your support & maintenance plans. Go here to view prices. Express users can purchase one time updates for $79.00 while ezFramer Basic & Full versions can purchase one time updates for $125.00. Have you noticed yet how flexible we are?
I have a 17" monitor and the ezFramer windows seem to have some blank space on the right, why?
  ezFramer windows are automatically set to "maximized". Just use the minimize button on your window at the top right and the screen will center itself nicely.
Can I make backups of my data?
  Of course, in fact we offer our ezFramer Backup program free to any user regardless of version or maintenance status. Download and install the software and start backing up today! Click here go to the download section.
Can I network ezFramer?
  Yes, ezFramer can be networked up to 4 additional computers at no extra cost per computer. However you need to either have the Full version which automatically includes the networking feature or purchase the Networking add on if you use ezFramer Basic. Express cannot be networked. Call us to purchase the networking add on if interested.
Can I upgrade to a larger more feature filled version?
  Yes, you can upgrade from either Express or Basic. Just give us a call and we can discuss the details. It is a simple process.
